Mercer County common pleas Judge Thomas Dobson ruled late Wednesday that the statements Scott Dunn made to police the day of his wife's murder can be admitted as evidence in his upcoming trial.
Dunn is accused of fatally beating Brandi, his bride of six months, in her parents Grove City home in January 2006, and then setting fire to the house to cover the crime.
Dunn asked the statements the day of the murder be suppressed because he was not represented by an attorney.
However, the judge ruled an attorney was not needed because Dunn was not taken into custody that day.
A motion for a change of venue will be decided later.
