Thousands of oil-filled electric heaters are being recalled due to a fire hazard.

The Holmes Group is recalling about 300-thousand "Holmes Oil-Filled Electric Heaters" because a poor electrical connection within the heater can lead to overheating. The company has received several reports of incidents involving the heaters, including four fires that caused extensive home damage.

The recall involves heaters with model numbers H-O-H-2505 and H-O-H-2520.

Consumers should stop using the heaters and contact the Holmes Group for a free replacement at 800-306-2471.
