A dentist, dental assistant and former dentist plead not guilty to charges of practicing without a license.
The charges filed by Boardman Police accuse James Gentile of allowing 71-year-old Ronald Mangie and 33-year-old Jeffrey Melia to practice dentistry without a license.
A defense attorney says that Dr. Gentile does have a license to practice dentistry.
Gentile, Mangie and Melia did not appear in court, but each entered a written not guilty to the misdemeanor charge against them.
Boardman police say they began an investigation after a woman filed a complaint.
