JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) - General Motors has ended production at its oldest plant.

Workers trickled out of an SUV factory in Janesville, Wisconsin, which was built in 1918. One woman says she was pretty good up until the end, but then she says "I lost it." The shut-down is part of GM's effort to stay afloat by trimming 11,000 jobs this year after losing more than $57 billion in the past 18 months.

A total of 1,200 employees at Janesville are now out of work. About 50 workers will stay until May or June to finish an order for Isuzu. Then the plant will close for good.

Another GM plant also closed today, in Moraine, Ohio, eliminating almost 1,100 jobs.
