Workers at thirteen other GM facilities aren't as lucky as Lordstown. GM's stamping plant in Ontario, Ohio will close next year affecting more than 1,200 workers.

The Parma powertrain plant closing will effect 37 employees and 60 workers will be out of a job when a Columbus warehouse shuts down.

GM is closing other plants around the country. They include those in Wilmington, Delaware; Indianapolis, Pontiac, Livonia, Flint, and Willow Run in Michigan; Fredericksburg, Virginia, as well as warehouses in Boston and Jacksonville, Florida.

Some plants are being shut down on a temporary basis. They include those in Orion, Michigan; Spring Hill, Tennessee and a stamping plant in Pontiac, Michigan.
