CANFIELD, Ohio- A Canfield couple appeared in court Wednesday to face allegations that the home they were living in with their two children was unfit for inhabitation.

Brian and Betsy Spin pleaded guilty to six counts of cruelty to animals and two counts of endangering children.

Authorities raided the house where the Spins lived with their two boys, ages seven and two,  in October, finding animal feces on the floor, mold growing throughout the house and several dogs.

The Mahoning county dog warden called it the worst case of animal abuse he'd seen in 30 years.

About nine dogs were euthanized due to the condition they were in.

Brian Spin will serve 30 days in the Mahoning county jail and Betsy Spin will be required to perform 75 hours of community service.
