YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A U.S. Postal Service letter carrier was robbed Saturday while working his mail route in Youngstown.

According to a police report,  63-year-old Dennis Jamieson was putting mail into mail boxes when he was grabbed from behind and put into a choke hold.

While one suspect held Jamieson in a choke hold, another suspect allegedly hit him three times in the face knocking off his glasses.  Both suspects were wearing bandanas over their faces.

According to police, the suspect then took Jamieson's cell phone and wallet and fled on foot.

The U.S. Post Office says this attack is a federal offense and is being taken seriously.
