POLAND, Ohio - We first told you about Guiliana Delsignore in April.  The little girl has a genetic disorder called Trisomy 18, or Edwards Syndrome.

Only five to 10 percent of children with Edwards Syndrome live beyond their first year, but Guiliana is already beating the odds.

Earlier this month, Guiliana celebrated her first birthday. Guiliana's parents say they hope the miracle milestone can bring hope to other families who may be facing a Trisomy 18 diagnosis.

"She's come so far," said her mom, Jill Delsignore. "She's able to roll. She's scooting around all by herself now, and almost sitting completely on her own, so she's come a long long way."

Trisomy 18 is caused by a third copy of the 18th chromosome.
