YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Family and friends held a candlelight vigil Friday night for a Youngstown woman who was killed while crossing the street on March 4th.
Fifty-three-year old Vickie Tony had just left a high school reunion gathering at the Southern Bar on Glenwood Avenue when she was struck by a car at 2:00 a.m.
Tony's loved ones met in the parking lot of the bar Friday evening to remember her.
Her daughter, Lakeshia Tony explains, "There's no cross walk. There's no hazard light. There's no concern for safety. My mother was a victim of something that could have been prevented."
The driver from that accident has come forward to police and charges against that person are pending.
