Strickland mulls another run for governor

BOARDMAN TOWNSHIP, Ohio - As former Ohio Governor Ted Strickland prepared to tackle the issue of education funding at forum in Boardman on Monday night, another topic that could not be ignored is Strickland's future political plans.
21 News reporter Michelle Nicks sat down with the former Governor to discuss whether he'll throw his hat in to the ring to get his old job back.
It's not just rumor, former Governor Ted Strickland says it's not out of the question that he could make another run for Ohio governor. But the Democrat stops just short of making the commitment.
"I'm serious about trying to do what's right for our state and when the time comes to make a final decision. If it appears that I may be the strongest of the candidates that express an interest, I very well could make a decision to do it again," Strickland said.
Mr. Strickland tells 21 News his primary focus right now is working to get President Barack Obama re-elected. The former Governor is serving as one of Obama's national co-chairs for his campaign.
