BAZETTA TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Morning storm causes damage in Trumbull County

Homeowners, utility and road crews are cleaning up damage left by a late morning storm in Trumbull County on Tuesday.

Rain, hail and wind swept across the middle of the county just before noon.

On route 46 in Bazetta Township a large tree toppled onto the porch of a home and another tree fell on a car.

High winds knocked down trees and wires on the other side of Mosquito Lake as well.

One resident along Hoagland Blackstub Road told 21 News that after heavy rain, the winds began to twist trees in his yard.

Champion Township also had wires down.

"We were all safe, pretty safe; probably the only thing that was worrying me was the flying debris. The house never moved or shook or anything like that, but it was pretty scary," said Bazetta Township resident Chris Holland.

Crews from Ohio Edison were in storm mode so they could be readily dispatched to make repairs.

Trees and wires were also downed in the Brookfield area as well.
