YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A Youngstown man has plead guilty in the accidental shooting death of his girlfriend.
Thirty-five-year-old Gregory Carlini appeared in Mahoning County Court Monday morning.
Carlini was originally charged with murder, but pled guilty to a lesser charge of reckless homicide with a gun specification.
Prosecutors say Carlini accidentally shot Elford in the mouth last February when the couple was playing with a loaded gun.
Carlini called police that night and admitted to the shooting.
Carlini will be sentenced later this year. He faces up to six years in prison.
