Covelli Centre preparing for Biden, Clinton visit

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Covelli Centre in downtown Youngstown is preparing for a visit from Vice President Joe Biden and former President Bill Clinton.

The start time has changed for The campaign rally featuring the vice president and former president.

Doors will now open at 2:00 p.m. today and the rally is estimated to begin at 3:30 p.m.

Biden is visiting the Valley after Obama backed out, citing the impending weather conditions on the East coast. He will be flying into the city this afternoon. 

No parking will be permitted on Front Street from South Avenue to Phelps Street in downtown.

South Avenue will be blocked from the freeway to downtown. Walnut will be blocked from Boardman Street to Front Street.

All drivers should use the north, east, and west approaches in and out of downtown after noon Monday.

All parking decks and surface lots will be open for parking.

Umbrellas will be allowed at the event, but officials will hold them at the door until the rally ends.
