Annual police chief's luncheon held at YSU

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Mahoning Valley Police Chief's Association held its annual luncheon Wednesday afternoon at Youngstown State University.

Members of several Valley departments were honored at the event, which was held in the Ohio Room of Kilcawley Center.

Issues discussed included manpower, funding and other concerns the chief's have for their departments.

    What started as a suspected shoplifting at a Southern Park Mall department store ended with a robbery charge being filed against a Youngstown woman and a store employee being bitten. Boardman Police were called to the Macy's Tuesday afternoon to find a woman being held down by the store's loss prevention officer.
