Ohio's Secretary of State to decide on Trumbull County precincts

Updated:

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio's Secretary of State will decide if there'll be fewer places to vote in Trumbull County.

Trumbull County Board of Elections members are split on reducing the number of precincts from 210 to 152.

The secretary of state is now responsible for issuing a tie- breaker vote.

The cost-saving measure would eliminate 58 voter precincts and save $50,000 annually.

Both parties have 14 days to send their arguments in writing to Secretary of State John Husted for the final call.
