Hagan asking for answers in D&L investigation

Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - State Representative Bob Hagan says he wants to see justice served for the owner of two companies accused of illegally dumping brine into the Mahoning River.

Hagan said he wants to know why D&L owner Ben Lupo remains free in light of the alleged dumping.

Hagan appeared at a news conference along activists who were arrested for a peaceful protest at the site of a D&L injection well in 2011.

State and federal officials continue to investigate the incident, in which 40-50,000 gallons of brine water were allegedly dumped into the river on January 31st.
