Warren family held at gunpoint during home invasion

Posted: Updated:

WARREN, Ohio - A Warren mother tells police she and her children were held at gunpoint Saturday night during a home invasion.

It happened on Brier Street at about 6 p.m. That's when the 23-year-old woman says two masked men pointed the gun and her and her children, ages 3 and 4, while they burglarized her home.

According to a police report, two X-box 360's and $1,000 in cash was taken from the home. This is the second armed home invasion involving children in less than a month in the city.

A mother on Clearwater Drive Southeast told police that on April 25, three armed men wearing masks entered her home to search for cash. Read more about the April incident here.

Two of her frightened children ran to their grandmother's home for help, while their mother says she was forced to give the suspects a tour of her home to prove she didn't have any money.

So far Warren police do not have any suspects and continue to investigate.
