Father and grandfather of Teddy Foltz building memorial bench

Posted: Updated:

HUBBARD, Ohio - The biological father of murder victim Teddy Foltz says he is building a memorial in his son's name.

Shawn Tedesco says he and Foltz's grandfather are building a bench with a memorial plaque to remember the Struther's boy.

"Me and my dad are building it. It's going to be a wooden bench with a plaque with his name on it. We're also going to have a picnic on August 11. I'd like to make it an annual picnic in Teddy's memory," says Tedesco.

Foltz, 14, was beaten to death in January by his mother's boyfriend, Zaryl Bush.

Bush was sentenced to 33 years to life in prison for the murder. Foltz's mother, Shain Widdersheim will be sentenced in August on multiple child endangerment charges.

A dedication ceremony and picnic in Teddy's memory will be held on August 11th at the playground in Harding Park in Hubbard.
