Youngstown woman pleads not guilty to endangering her baby

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Bond is set at $50,000 for a south side woman is accused of seriously injuring her four month old son.

27-year-old Julie Keyes appeared before a judge in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court on Tuesday where she pleaded not guilty to two counts of child endangering and one count of felonious assault.

According to police reports, Keyes' four month old son suffered a serious brain injury after the baby's father arrived at their Cambridge Avenue home and found Keyes passed out, and the baby on the floor.

The father told police that the baby was not breathing.

Akron Children's Hospital says the infant has been discharged.  There is no further word on the child's condition.
