Youngstown woman charged in accidental shooting death of 4-year-old grandchild

Posted: Updated:
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A woman originally listed as a person on interest in connection with the shooting death of a four-year-old boy from Youngstown now faces a charge of endangering children.

52-year-old Pamela Easterly has been indicted by the Mahoning County Grand Jury.

Back in July, Easterly told investigators that she was in the living room of her Fairgreen Avenue home when she heard the gunshot that claimed the life of her grandson, Raytwon Briggs.

Investigators believe that children were playing with a gun that went off, shooting Briggs in the face.

The grand jury alleges that Easterly recklessly created a risk to the child's safety  by violating her duty to protect him.
