Two people injured by hit and run driver in New Castle

NEW CASTLE, Pa. - Police in New Castle, are looking for the driver of a minivan who hit two people and then drove away.

Witnesses tell 21 News, that a gray minivan was moving fast when it hit a man then a woman on North Jefferson Street.

They say the man was on his knees then fell to the ground and the woman seemed to injured hurt her head.

Witness Ray Covert says the driver got out of his vehicle. "They both went airborne. He went way up high across the vehicle and to the other side of the road. Down he went, real hard. " said Covert.

The names and conditions of those two victims have not been released.
