HOWLAND, Ohio - Howland police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a daytime robbery suspect.

At about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to the BP gas station in the 100 block of Niles Cortland Road SE to respond to an armed robbery.

The suspect described as a man between the ages of 25 and 30, fled on foot and was seen driving away southbound on Rt. 46 in a blue GMC Sonoma.

It's believed the suspect got away with at least $700 in cash from the register. The clerk tells police the suspect brandished a handgun, pointed it at her face and demanded the money.

Police have provided an image of the suspect caught on surveillance video.

Anyone with information are asked to call Howland police at 330-856-5555 or Trumbull County Dispatch at 330-675-2730.
