FARRELL, PA. - An arrest is made, after a 53-year-old Farrell woman says she was severely beaten and robbed by a man who followed her home from the store on Saturday.

Southwest Mercer Regional Police have now arrested 20-year-old

Alijah Hasan-Douglas of Parke Drive in Hermitage for the crime.

Kimberly Bashor was the victim of the violent attack, "He pulled out this knife he had in his pants. He said are you ready to die today? Are you ready to die today?

53-year-old Bashor still has visibly black eyes, and a swollen temple, but even though she's beaten and batter, she's determined to tell her story.

The Farrell woman says at around 11AM Saturday morning she went to one neighborhood market on George Street near Fruit Street to pay her bills, and then walked to another convenience store to buy lottery tickets.

It was at her second stop where she says a young man in his 20's followed her home, beat her repeatedly, and robbed her of her cash.

"He whaled on me, and then he asked me another question, then he hit me again, and asked me another question. My purse was laying there, he got in my brown wallet," Bashor said.

Bashor says she begged for her life. Telling her attacker she had 5 children, and her grandchildren to live for.

"I think the only thing that saved me is that I said don't kill me, cause he kept saying, you ready to die today? You ready to die today? I know you've got more cash, and then he hit me again. I know you've got more, and then he punched me again!"

Bashor admits the man, did not initially come into her home after following her. He knocked on her door 15 minutes later, and was talking religion so she allowed him to come in to her home and have a beer.

Now she justs wants to warn others.

"I want him to see what he's done to me," Bashor said.

Suspect Alijah Hasan-Douglas is being held at the Mercer County Jail on $50,000 bond. Southwest Mercer County Regional Police made the arrest, and charged Hasan-Douglas with robbery, aggravated assault, and recklessly endangering another person.
