Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County receives sizeable donation

Posted: Updated:

WARREN, Ohio - The Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County received a "huge donation" to help the animals it rescues.

The Home Savings Charitable Foundation presented a check for $10,000 to the non profit agency.

Jeff Williams, President of Trumbull Animal Welfare League, said, "This is a huge donation." Williams added, "This is more than a one time donation from Home Savings. They've been loyal supporters of the Animal Welfare League for a long time."

The Animal Welfare League operates through volunteers.

Weather has hindered construction and opening of a new facility.

The agency says it appreciates all who donate to help animals.
