WARREN, Ohio - A Warren man is arrested after the mother of his child tells police he beat her with a wooden board on St. Patrick's Day.

The victim tells police that she and Brandon M. Evans, 23, of Linden Avenue NE, were drinking on Monday night at his house, when the two got into a fight. She says their argument escalated to point that he began punching her.

The victim says Evans beat her with a 2x4 board at least four times. The victim says she tried to defend herself and hit Evans in the forehead with a coffee mug before she ran into the house to his house to hide.

The victim received treatment for her injuries. Evans received stitches at Trumbull Memorial Hospital before he was booked into the Trumbull County Jail on a felonious assault charge.
