Police say Pa. man aims for rat but shoots himself

COATESVILLE, Pa. (AP) - A man from southeastern Pennsylvania trying to shoot a rat ended up in the hospital after accidentally shooting himself instead.

WFMZ-TV said Monday that 27-year-old Zachary Troop of West Fallowfield Township, Chester County, was accidentally hit by a .22 caliber bullet in his upper leg on March 20.

Police said he was trying to shoot a rat when he shot himself instead.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment. Information on his condition wasn't immediately available.

    A Negley woman was killed after an airborne deer crashed through her windshield Thursday night.  Amy Stoneburner was riding in the passenger seat of her family's Pontiac Vibe when a deer flew through the car's windshield.
