Body found near Lake Erie shore in northeast Ohio

MENTOR, Ohio (AP) - Authorities east of Cleveland say a birdwatcher spotted a body at a state park along Lake Erie.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office says the body of an adult male of was discovered Tuesday afternoon at Headlands Beach State Park near Mentor.

The sheriff's office tells The News-Herald in Willoughby that it doesn't have any outstanding missing persons in that area.

Investigators say it is too early to determine whether foul play was involved in the man's death.

    Authorities in Mercer county are investigating reports of thieves skimming credit guards to steal consumers personal information. It happened recently at Wagler's Camp Perry service station in Clarks Mills.   Skimming happens when thieves unlock gas pumps and connect a skimmer to the card reader which steals information when a customer swipes a credit or debit card.
