Boardman stadium spruce up is a team effort

BOARDMAN, Ohio -  Sprucing up the Boardman high school football stadium was a team effort this weekend.

The Boardman Gridiron Club invited parents, football players, alumni and school board members to spend their Saturday preparing the stands and field for the upcoming football season. 

This season will likely be the last for the current football stadium.

"There's some history here, so we'd like to go out with a little bit of pride and a little bit of class and try to make the season a memorable one for the boys," said David Croutch, Boardman Gridiron Club president.

Home Depot donated the paint to for the project. 

The high school's projected $4 million stadium under construction, is expected to be ready for the fall season of 2015.
