YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

A man suspected of firing shots that wounded a child and an employee of a south side convenience store is now in jail.

26-year-old Tyrell Maiden of Youngstown was arrested over the weekend on two charges of felonious assault.

Witnesses tell police that on June 18, Maiden chased another man into Ally's Food Mart on South Avenue and began firing shots.

Store employee, 25-year-old Mohammud Alruheim was shot in the stomach, and store customer 12-year-old Jwan Walker was shot in the arm. The wounds were not life threatening.

Earlier this month, authorities offered a reward for the arrest of Maiden.
