High water closes Lake Glacier Boathouse

Posted: Updated:
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

Mill Creek MetroPark officials have closed the Lake Glacier Boathouse because of high water levels.

Park officials say recent rainfall has brought water levels in the lake to levels that could be hazardous to boaters.

Kayaks and pedal boats are usually available for rental on the 44-acre lake Wednesdays through Sundays from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. through Labor Day.

Park officials say the Boathouse will open again when the lake reaches a safe level.
