YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Police say a Youngstown man was stabbed by his wife after she became upset when he texted a friend on his phone.

Officers arrived at a home on Rutledge Drive Wednesday night to find Floyd Teague bleeding, but conscious.  Teague told police his wife, Carolyn, had stabbed him and fled prior to the officers arrival.

Teague says his wife became upset when she discovered he had texted an old friend on his phone.  She left and when she returned, the two began to argue over the matter.

Teague told police he was sitting in the living room when his wife entered with a butcher knife and told him she was going to stab him.  At that point, the woman allegedly stabbed her husband in the back five times.  Floyd told police he had to wrestle the knife away from his wife and she left in her car.

Teague was taken to St. Elizabeth's Health Center in Youngstown, where he told officers he didn't want to file charges.
