People driving in the Valley may see something new on passing Western Reserve Transit Authority buses.

The WRTA unveiled eight new buses equipped with bicycle carriers on the front. Cyclists can put their bicycles on the rack, while the bus takes them to their destination.

Each of the new $425,000 buses carry 31 passengers in more contoured, cloth upholstered seats. They are also equipped with a safety panel for wheelchair access.

The buses, which were mostly funded by state and federal grants, replace ten WRTA buses that had been in service for up to fourteen years.

The WRTA also acquired two Dedicated Mobility Vehicles for wheelchair transport.
