WBCB, the Valley's CW, will broadcast the Youngstown State at Illinois State college football game this Saturday beginning at 2:00 p.m.

The Penguins (7-2) and Redbirds (7-1) are tied for second place in the Missouri Valley Football Conference with 4-1 records. It's also a matchup of FCS Top 15 teams as YSU is ranked 10th and Illinois State 12th in this week's Sports Network Poll.

Last week, Youngstown State rallied for a 28-17 home victory over South Dakota – its third straight win. Illinois State was dealt its first loss of the season as Northern Iowa pulled the upset, 42-28, at the UNI Dome.

The game will feature two of the top offenses in the MVFC.

Illinois State leads the conference in scoring at 37.8 points per game. Senior QB Mike Perish (258.2 passing yards per game) and junior running back Marshaun Coprich (15 TDs) pace the league in those categories. Youngstown State tops the MVFC in total offense, piling up 447.3 yards a game. Individually, freshman quarterback Hunter Wells is the league's passing efficiency leader with a rating of 169.7.

WBCB's next broadcast of YSU football on the road will be Saturday, November 22 at 3:30 p.m. when the Penguins visit three-time defending FCS champion North Dakota State.
