COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Majority Republicans in the Ohio Senate have re-elected their slate of leaders for next year's legislative session.
That means state Sen. Keith Faber of Celina is expected to return as the president of the Ohio Senate in January.
Elections for other GOP leadership roles also were conducted Wednesday.
GOP senators retained the following leaders: Sen. Chris Widener of Springfield as president pro tempore; Sen. Tom Patton of Strongsville as majority floor leader; and Sen. Larry Obhof of Medina as majority whip.
Republicans dominate each chamber of the Legislature.
The GOP majority in the House also picked their leaders Wednesday for the upcoming General Assembly.
State Rep. Cliff Rosenberger, of Clarksville in southwest Ohio, is slated to replace term-limited House Speaker William Batchelder.
Democrats elect their leadership teams separately.
