WARREN, Ohio - Two men face charges in connection with a hostage incident at the Trumbull County Jail last April.

The Trumbull County Grand Jury indicted 27-year-old Richard Ware of Warren, and 25-year-old Kevin Johns of Cincinnati on Tuesday.

Johns was already serving a 28-year stretch for kidnapping when he, Ware and another inmate allegedly took a correctional officer hostage at knife point in a jail cell.

Ware was being held for robbery when the hostage incident took place.

Both men face new charges of kidnapping, aggravated robbery, possession of a deadly weapon, felonious assault, and aiding an escape.

The third suspect in the hostage incident, David Martin, was sentenced to death in September for the 2012 murder of Jeremy Cole.
