Cedar Point owner to test a 'Virtual Coaster'

SANDUSKY, Ohio - Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, operator of eleven amusement parks in North America including Cedar Point, is looking at bringing virtual reality to one of its coasters.
The company's Chief Executive Matt Ouimet said they are planning to test a virtual reality application on an existing coaster.
Cedar Fair's VP of Corporate Communications Carolyn McLean added that the application will be an addition to an actual ride.
McLean also emphasized that the virtual reality test is not open to the public, and the process is still in preliminary stages.
Cedar Fair has not yet revealed which of its parks the new applications will be tested.
Two other Ohio parks, Wildwater Kingdom in Aurora, and Kings Island in King Mills, are run by Cedar Fair.
The company is also headquartered in Sandusky's Cedar Point park. Cedar Point features 17 roller coasters.
