An Ohio woman died in a crash  that shut down a portion of Route 208 in Mercer County for several hours on Wednesday.

State police say 52-year-old Darlene Wilson of Medina, Ohio was killed when the three-wheeled motorcycle she was riding on was struck head-on a pickup truck driven by 60-year-old Randall Smith of Grove City.

Investigators say Smith had swerved his truck into the oncoming lane to avoid another pickup truck that had pulled in front of him from a driveway.

The other truck was being driven by 49-year-old William Mercer of Seaford, Delaware.  Joal Coast, 58, of Grove City was riding in that truck.

Peter Nepodal, 69, of Medina was driving the motorcycle.

Initial reports from the scene indicated that there were other people injured, but state police did not provide information about the condition of the other people involved in the crash.

The stretch of road was closed until a State Police accident reconstruction team could gather evidence from the accident.
