Warren metal plant expected to close

WARREN, Ohio - A Warren metal plant might be closing soon.
A local union leader and representative for the United Steel Workers in the Youngstown-Warren area has been issued a WARN Act notification from LB Steel LLC.
Jose Arroyo tells 21 News that the notification announces the intention to shut down it's local plant, Concord Steel.
The Worker Adjustment and Restraining Act requires most large employers to a provide 60 day advance notification of plant closing and/or mass layoffs.
A company that once utilized about 120 workers back in 2009. Arroyo says Concord Steel now only has 11 employees working at the plant.
The company produces construction related equipment and vehicles.
Arroyo says he was issued the notice last week.
LB Steel filed for protection from creditors in Bankruptcy Court on Monday, listing assets and liabilities between $10 million and $50 million.
