Man dies in Youngstown house fire
One person is dead following a house fire on the south side of Youngstown.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - One man is dead following a house fire on the south side of Youngstown.
Firefighters were called to a blaze at 640 West LaClede Avenue just before 11:30 Wednesday.
The coroner has not released the victim's name until family members can be notified.
Fire Chief John O'Neill says the fire appears to have originated on the first floor in the front room, which is also where the victim was found.
Neighbor Rodney Fort saw the smoke and tried to get to the victim before fire crews arrived, but he says it was too late, "The house was smoking and I ran over and touched the window. I busted out the window and called into him. I tried to get the door open. It was just too much smoke and fire."
The state fire marshal and the coroner are investigating to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
This is the second fatal fire in the Valley that occurred on Wednesday.
A Boardman man died in a house fire earlier in the day.
