YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - U.S. Marshals have arrested a man who allegedly assaulted his elderly aunt at her East Side home.

Police say 36-year-old Timothy Leshon Smith was arrested without a struggle at the WRTA bus station in downtown Youngstown late Monday afternoon.

Police say Smith broke in to a home on Bott Street Sunday night and attacked the 70-year-old woman in the kitchen. 

Two juveniles were in the home at the time of the home invasion and called 9-1-1.  They were not hurt.

At last report, the elderly victim was hospitalized in stable condition.

Investigators say Smith is from out of state. He had been visiting the area for the holiday.
