WARREN, Ohio - A Warren man will be asked to answer to several charges in the death of a 3-year-old boy who was in his care when he was found unresponsive in late November.

A Trumbull County Grand Jury indicted Arthur Harper on three counts: murder, endangering children and felonious assault.

The 43-year-old is accused of causing life-threatening injuries to Russell Cottrill Jr., who was in Harper's care while his mother says she was at work.
Warren police say the child suffered head trauma.

When police arrived to the home in the 500 block of High Street, Cottrill was found unresponsive and not breathing.

Cottrill was taken to the Trumbull Memorial Hospital and later transferred to Rainbow Babies Children's hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Cottrill was described by his mother and neighbors as an energetic, healthy and happy young boy.
