UAW addresses rumors of GM shutting down Lordstown complex
Recent rumors have emerged that General Motor's Lordstown Complex could be shutting down due to the extension of the two week layoff.

LORDSTOWN, Ohio - Recent rumors have emerged that General Motor's Lordstown Complex could be shutting down due to the extension of the two week layoff.
According to UAW Local 1714's Facebook page, there has been no change since the initial decision to suspend production of the Chevy Cruze during the weeks of April 25 and May 2. That also includes UAW Local 1112.
The suspension comes after a deadly earthquake in Japan caused disruption in the supply chain to the U.S.
Despite suspension of production, some employees will still need to report to work.
According to the post, all employees are expected to return May 9.
Production is also being suspended for two weeks at GM plants in Fairfax, Kansas; Spring Hill, Tennessee and Oshawa, Ontario.
