A Warren man who admitted to a jury that he fired six shots at his girlfriend has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Judge Ronald Rice of the Trumbull County Common Pleas Court sentenced 44-year-old William Fambro on Tuesday.

Rice read off a list of crimes Fambro has committed and said he has no doubt further crimes would be committed.

“So who is William Fambro, your history of nine criminal convictions and cold blooded murder of Theresa Hunter tells us who you are,” said Rice.

Last week, a jury found Fambro guilty of aggravated murder and robbery for fatally shooting 35-year-old Teresa Hunter.

During the trial, Fambro testified that he shot Hunter six times at the Riverview Motel last fall.
