Shot fired as Sharon resident struggles with intruder
Police tackled a Hermitage man who allegedly punched an armed Sharon resident after a confrontation at a State Street apartment.

SHARON, Pa. - Police tackled a Hermitage man who allegedly punched an armed Sharon resident after a confrontation at a State Street apartment.
Nicholas George Anderson, 25, is charged with burglary, criminal trespassing, simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
The resident of the apartment tells police after Anderson pounded on the door of one of the apartments at 2 a.m. Sunday, the resident of the apartment opened the door holding a shotgun.
The resident says that Anderson punched him in the face, and tried to grab the gun.
When Anderson ran, the man in the apartment says he fired a shot at him.
Anderson, who was not struck by gunfire, was spotted by Sharon Police who ordered him to stop.
When Anderson refused, two officers tackled him to the ground and placed him under arrest.
As of Monday, Anderson remained in the Mercer County Jail unable to post the $50,000 bond.
