Inmates overdose at Mahoning County Jail, revived with Narcan
The nursing staff at the Mahoning County Jail used Narcan to revive two inmates who were found unresponsive yesterday evening.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The nursing staff at the Mahoning County Jail used Narcan to revive two inmates who were found unresponsive Monday evening.
Deputies suspect the victims took drugs that a third inmater, Victor Slocum, 22, smuggled into the jail.
Slocum is now facing additional charges. He already faces two counts of drug trafficking.
“We are ready to charge Victor Slocum with bringing in the narcotics and giving them to the two males that were found unresponsive,” said Major Jeff Allen, the Mahoning County Sheriff's Department.
The two inmates were taken to the hospital for observation. They were later taken back to the jail.
