Panerathon running through Youngstown on Sunday
Thousands are expected to run through the streets of downtown Youngstown Sunday morning during the annual Panerathon.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Thousands are expected to dart through the streets of downtown Youngstown Sunday morning during the 7th annual Panerathon.
Runners can be part of a 10K run, 2 miles run or walk, or a 1/4 mile kids run.
Organizers say all proceeds from the event go towards supporting Joanie's Promise Fund at Mahoning Valley's MercyHealth Foundation.
The Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center at St. Elizabeth Health Center, according to Panerathon, provides breast cancer prevention, early detection, diagnosis, and support services.
Last year's Panerathon featured more than 10,000 participants and spectators. Organizers say approximately $300,000 was raised.
Online registration for the first two races has closed, but day-of registration will be available.
Racers can start to gather at the Covelli Centre for registration at 8:00am.
The 10K will kick-off two hours later at 10:00, with the 2 miler following at 10:05am.
The kids run is scheduled to start at 11:30am. Registration will be free for children between 4 and 10 years old.
Race-day sign-ups for the other two races, meanwhile, are $35 for the 10K and $30 for the 2 miler.
People looking to come to this Sunday's event will not be able to park directly in the Covelli Centre's parking lot.
Panerathon organizers say several nearby parking lots and garages have been secured for race participants. A map of the lots can be found here.
Handicapped parking and drop-off will also be available at the nearest lot.
Anyone who participates in the Panerathon will receive an event t-shirt, gift-filled race bag, and entrance into the post-race celebration.
According to Panerathon, the celebration will include attractions from the Oh Wow! museum, bounce-a-rounds, face painting, and food from O'Charley's.
Several roads will be closed for the race from around 7:00am to noon on Sunday.
Mill Creek Metroparks says that Price Road, West Glacier Drive, West Drive, Slippery Rock Bridge, and Robinson Hill Drive will all be shut down to car, cyclist, and pedestrian traffic during Panerathon.
Memorial Hill Drive and East Glacier Drive, the MetroParks representative notes, are already closed due to construction projects.
This year's race route can be found here.
