CLEVELAND, Ohio - A federal judge has released the son of Mahoning County Juvenile Court Judge Theresa Dellick from electronic house arrest.

U.S. District Judge Aaron Polster last week granted a motion filed by attorney Damian Billak, who is now representing Dellick after attorney David Betras withdrew from the case.

Dellick had been on house arrest since early August after a federal grand jury indicted him on one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Government prosecutors say the 22-year-old Canfield man was in possession of a handgun in January, which would be a violation of a federal law prohibiting convicted felons from having guns or ammunition.

Dellick's felony record stems from his conviction on one count of aggravated assault following an October, 2013 road rage incident when he rammed his jeep into another vehicle, and the assault on a former girlfriend three months earlier.

Since his conviction, Dellick violated the terms of his probation two times.

He received treatment for mental health and drug addiction at the Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic in recent months.

According to federal court records, Dellick's next hearing is September 8, which is the last date that a plea due to a written plea agreement may be taken.
