Lanternman's Mill hosts "Olde Fashioned Christmas" on Saturday

Posted: Updated:
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

A historic site in the Valley is celebrating the holiday season by turning back the hands of time.

Those who visit Mill Creek Park on Saturday, November 26th and 27th will get to see Lanterman's Mill decked out for the holidays and will get to enjoy some old-fashioned comforts and entertainment.

This weekend, the park will hold an "Olde Fashioned Christmas at Lanterman's Mill" from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Local artists will be there to demonstrate their crafts and sell handmade gifts. There will also be entertainers like a juggler, balloon artist and music and an opportunity to give Santa your wish list.

Anyone who attends is asked to share the holiday spirit with others by bringing a new clothing item – like a hat, scarf or pair of mittens – to decorate a “Giving Tree.” These donated items will be given to children in need of them this winter.

Lanterman's Mill is located on 1001 Canfield Road in Youngstown. For more details, call Ford Nature Center at (330) 740-7107.
