Donations from the men and woman who work at GM Lordstown are expected to put smiles on the faces of 100 children this Christmas.
GM Lordstown's Paint Shop UAW workers partnered with the Salvation Army for a 14th year to help children and families in need during the holiday season.
"Overall this Christmas, we will help 1,800 children in the county and over 120 families with food vouchers, so this is a massive undertaking and this donation will go a long way," said Major Elijah Kahn, Mahoning County Area Services coordinator with the Salvation Army.
The paint shop's cafeteria was filled with 24 bicycles, games, dolls, toys and sporting equipment Tuesday morning.
Each year the UAW receives a wish list from 100 children in the area and they work to make sure every item is checked off the list.
The UAW also presented the Salvation Army with a check for $4,000.
