23-year-old dead after officer involved shooting in Sharon

SHARON, Pa. - A domestic violence call on Tamplin Street in Sharon turned deadly late Friday night.
Erick Hermick, a Lieutenant with Pennsylvania State Police, says a mother called 911 after an alleged stabbing.
“Shortly before midnight last night, Sharon Police Department responded to a domestic assault at the location,” Hermick said. After being on scene, the incident escalated and there was an officer involved shooting where the subject was shot by Sharon Police Department.”
The person who was shot and died is 23-year-old Sean Marie Hake.
21 News does not have an update on the condition of his mother.
A brother who arrived at the home to pick up the family's dog said she is not doing well.
He was also distraught over the death of his sibling. He was not prepared to talk at this time.
Neighbors and a relative told us the 23 year old was transitioning to a man, Sean Ryan Hake.
State Police have recommended that the officer who shot the individual during the domestic violence call be placed on paid administrative leave per policy until it finishes it's investigation.
More details will be released after the investigation is complete.
“There was a domestic assault that occurred inside the residence,” Hermick said. We are not going to disclose any information about the evidence about the case at this point. I can tell you we processed the scene, served search warrants, are conducting some more interviews to finish up this investigation.”
